This is an event run by LitWorld that encourages reading aloud and celebrates global interaction. Students will read aloud or be read to, either via video chatting with other schools or having guest readers come into the classrooms, to advocate for literacy as a human right that belongs to all people. http://www.litworld.org/wrad/

If you like trivia, if you like scavenger hunts, if you thrive on competition, and if you like your family, then you will LOVE this night out at the high school! HollyRock Entertainment takes over the cafeteria and sets up a stage that looks like a real gameshow where kids face off, families face off, and even moms verse dads in a head-to-head buzzer racer to answer trivia questions. Free, light refreshments served.

PARP is a New York state PTA recognized event held during March that promotes family reading. We start things off by celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday and then encourage students to log the minutes they read for the next two weeks to earn fun prizes! Volunteers will help promote the program and theme to students/families, decorate the school, cut out and hang up student work, and assist the chairpersons with components of the take-home packet. The kids LOVE this program!

Join us as we catch up on old business and talk about new exciting events we have planned for our school. This is a great time for you to mention any concerns you may have or ideas for our school community.

Cycle through four classroom with your families as guest readers delight Meadow Drive School audiences with their favorite books. This will give children in attendance an automatic 60 minutes to log for PARP prizes!

This meeting is an important time for us to make all the final preparations for our Regatta themed Parent's Night Out, which is our biggest fundraiser of the year. At this meeting we will also hear from the nominating committee about our slate for any open positions on the board.

Was your child's fall photo a bust? Has your child grown a mile this year? This is your do over! Our volunteers will make sure the children look their best, lead the kids to their mark for pictures, and help keep general order. We will also take a group shot of our graduating second graders.
